This interesting question keep popping up in my head for the past few months. Does a relationship involving two different people from two different religion last? Have no idea why but somehow this question pop into my mind when I was out one day. Wanted to blog it down but kinda lazy...
Singapore is a multi-racial country with people coming from different walks of life which includes differnt religion be it Buddism, Christism, Catholic, Taoism, Hindu, Islamic and so on. I have seen or to be more precise know about people from different race get married but have no idea whether if they change their religion to their spouse because of marriage. But have not yet heard of or witness anyone from different religion get married and still have their seperate religion beliefs. My dad orginally was a Christian before he met my mom but after marriage convert to a Taoism. Hmm wonder whether the society of Singapore or rather does Singaporean accept a partner with different religion background from them? And does it pose a challenge to the foundation of the relationship?
